Preschool
Why is the preschool called LEIKKI?
Leikki means "game" in Finnish. We chose this name to emphasize the importance of play based learning for preschool and early school children.

In preschool, we focus on the best Finnish education experience. We recognize that through play, children explore themselves and the world around them, develop emotional intelligence, creativity and imagination, and develop important skills such as self-discipline and teamwork.
What is the purpose of preschool education?
The goal of preschool education is to lay a solid foundation for lifelong learning.

Preschool and primary school students visit each other's classes, carry out joint projects, and primary school teachers and a school psychologist often attend preschool lessons. It is important for us that the transition from preschool to primary school goes smoothly for the child.

We strive to develop curiosity, positive self-esteem, interest in experimentation and research, love of learning as a fun process that lasts a lifetime and is not limited by the walls of the school. Children learn to value and be aware of their own individuality and the individuality of others.
The child and his/her well-being, safety, physical and emotional health are our top priority.

The child is the main participant in the learning process, and his/her interests and opinions are important to us. A child is a member of our society, and has the right to be seen, heard, noticed and understood.

Children can express themselves in different ways, and we accept them for who they are. Sometimes children are cheerful, sometimes sad - we want to give them the opportunity to freely express any of their emotions. Children may show a desire to be experimenters and researchers, and we encourage them to do so.
What is the language of instruction in preschool?
Preschool Education is taught in three languages: English, Russian and Kazakh. The main language of instruction is English. We develop our knowledge of the Russian language through sports, music and drama. We conduct social studies classes in the Kazakh language, and also try to keep using it throughout the day.
